We offer a variety of styles and models to choose from - you are sure to find just what you are looking for! Whether you are looking for a safe, sturdy child's bed, a Loft for the college dorm or bunks for the cabin in the woods. Storage Drawers or Trundle beds that fit under most of our models are popular accessories.
All of our products are built in our shop using a select grade of kiln-dried Douglas Fir. Each piece is selected by hand and surfaced by planing, routing, sanding and staining. The bed is partially assembled and is easy to put together at home.
The bed consists of three main components:
Posts: (corner support)
Rungs: (cross supports that attach to the posts creating the built-in "ladders")
Rails: (bed rails hold the mattress and the guard rails provide safety).
The post and rung ends (head boards and foot boards) are pre-assembled in our shop. All the bolt and screw holes are pre-drilled and all hardware and assembly instructions are included.
Custom dimensions are possible - tell us what you are looking for and we will work up a quote.
The price listed includes one coat of stain. We offer a choice of Minwax Stain or a new product from Zar Stains - a low VOC green product with beautiful colors. Staining helps preserve and protect the wood. Touch-up is easy - just lightly sand nicks and scrapes and reapply stain. Minwax stain colors - Zar stain colors
Your order is also available to you unfinished, ready for you to personalize any way you chose. You can stain, paint, stencil, sponge, faux finish- use your imagination!! We do recommend that some sort of finish is applied to protect the wood. We will give a discount of 5% to those who order their product unfinished.
We can also do custom work such as trying to match a particular color stain or customize a paint job. Let us know what you would like and we will work up a quote for you.
Mattress Platforms: We offer two types of platforms; slats that are screwed securely to full length cleats attached to the bed rails and bunkie boards that provide a solid 3/4" thick mattress size board that is attached to the cleats. A bunkie board used on the top bunk has three safety wires atached under it as an added safety feature. Slats and bunkie boards can be combined on a bunk.
